Thirty one years is a long time for a fighting game series to be cranking out characters, and Ed Boon and his team of developers seem to rarely take breaks when it comes to Mortal Kombat.

The extremely well known and gory franchise has seen more than 70 playable roster members over the years now, and we’ve taken on the task of ranking them all in our latest video.

  5. Really one of the worst rankings that i've seen, Mavado,Dhramin and even Jarrek higher than fcking ONAGA???
    Sareena being one of the worst? It shows that the list was made by someone that didn't played the series.

  9. As someone familiar with stuff from Mugen like Mortal Kombat Project, this list baffles me. I don't disagree with it 100%, but imho a lot of the the choices just feel wrong in some way, especially in regards to all of the NRS original characters besides Skarlet. (Tremor doesn't count because he was supposed to be in Trilogy and appeared in… ugh, Special Forces)

    I also find it funny how you completely excluded Meat and Mokap for being "joke characters" when 1. They are on the main roster of Armageddon, and 2. Bo Rai Cho and even Rain at first are generally considered as joke characters. Also no Triborg even though you added Chameleon and Khameleon, which is also weird.

    I could go on and on about all the points I’d lay out about every single entry, but it would be too excessive for a comment and I realize it's generally not that important since all of this comes down to just opinions at the end of the day, so even though I don't agree with everything I'll let it slide, especially since this video seems to be well enough crafted and that you seem to be genuine, which is more than what I can say about many other channels out there. So by all means have no fear in feeling the way you do. I wish you the best of luck for you and your content. 🙂

    One thing I will say though, is saying that characters like Sareena, Tanya, and Tremor are as low as they are when you compare them to the aforementioned MKP counterparts is hilarious. Story or not, characters like them always had potential, so to see Sareena so absurdly low sure is something alright.

I been a Scorpion fan boy ever since I first seen him do 2 iconic things, the first thing was launching his trademark harpoon spear at an opponent and once it stabs into that opponent, Scorpion then angrily yells “Get Over Here”, and the second thing had me say to myself, ok this ninja is one of my favorite video game characters of all time, it was the moment that “Finish Him” appeared on the screen and after that, Scorpion got within sweep range of his dazed and beaten opponent and went to take off his mask, only he didn’t just take off his ninja mask, he literally took off his entire face skin along with his mask to reveal his skull 💀, Scorpion then proceeded to breathe fire from his mouth and burned his opponent alive to a skeletal crisp.

    The creepy fatality music of the original Mortal Kombat 1 arcade, made Scorpion’s fatality look even more scarier, and after that all the questions rushed into my 10 year old brain, is this ninja undead?? Is he a demon?? Is he a spirit??

    I didn’t know anything about Mortal Kombat’s story or most of the character’s’ stories too as well yet and speculating about everything made me love Mortal Kombat even more, the game was so dark, atmospheric and brutal, it made first time players of the game that are witnessing it so caught up by what was going on in it, the game was so good at keeping your full attention on it.

    He's memorable just as scorpion and sub-zero for me lol

    Still, nice video! Even through i don't agree with half of you rankings i still appreciate you effort for making this rank list!
