I really wish they had less complex combo inputs. It’s a pain to learn new characters combos with all the different directional inputs.

What I hated about mk11 is that it didn't have reptile
mk11 is absurdly underwhelming. every time i see a video of it i just reinforce that. the game relies too much on that stupid ass crushing blow mechanic to do some damage or extend combos, the defensive mechanics are lame, two separate bars for offense and defense is dumb, the pace is slow, characters are heavy… just too much to talk about negatively
i think in the future boss characters should be playable but should be in a separate mode so only other bosses can fight them because to me no matter how hard they try to nerf shao kahn he is still super broken

I actually like the extra inputs in strings. It feels really nice when it feels like the the combos and their directoons match eachother so you kinda get into this rhythm. But kronika sucks tho, hated that boss
I think Netherealm bosses just suck in general, especially Brainiac in Injustice 2. There's zero reason for that level of artificial difficulty. Gill in 3rd strike is a challenge, Brainiac is not. Bosses should not have moves that take half your health bar with little to no ability to react or telegraph for the move.
In my opinion making fatal blows available once youre low on health at ANYTIME was a bad idea,for example in MKX you couldnt do some long combo and finish it off with a xray,so I think in the next game make it so you can only fatal blow with a full attack gauge
i hope that stupid "make your own fatality" from Armageddon NEVER comes back, it was stupid is actually killed my interest for playing the game for anything but the story or stage kills

The thumbnail says it all. Joker does not belong in mk. Neither does spawn, Rambo, robocop, Leatherface, alien, predator, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger. Or any other "special guest" character I didn't mention
Characters being harder to play is part of why I like MK.

One thing I dont like about Mk11 and MKX are the characters u fight on the story mode but are not in the roster like c'mon thats just teasing, like sure I understand bosses cuz it makes them more special but why do u fight against both Sektor AND Cyrax in mk11 but you cant play as them, same thing applies to Baraka and Rain in MKX.

I don't get the specific hate towards Kronika. MK has always had bosses that don't follow the standard fighter template. Shang Tsung was just a fireball turret until he transforms. Shao Khan was a brick wall that slams into you. Motoro just ignored most projectiles. The entire 3D era had giant meatbags that plowed through whatever the newest combo gimmick was.
